Selling one's status message? I wonder if that's the right message to send when teens should be proud of who THEY are, not live a lie through a mask.
  • Tamal Anwar · 1 year ago
First of all, I want to thank you for the comment you gave. It sure make sense that why we should use ore precious social status for something wrong? But unfortunately, this is life and lots of things we have to do which are wrong.

Power status, big authority or good karma, requires lots of effort, patience and lots of time or may be years. Actually social sites don't pay us for the time we spend to build them, so why not sell our status?

Here is the living proof that a power user of Digg is selling diggs,

I play guitar and I do online free lessons. Any advice on that, I'm 13. Nice article by the way.
  • Tamal Anwar · 1 year ago
Hello Nikita, I'm glad that you have an ambitious brain just at the age of 13. If you can play guitar, then its good and creative. Please remember that, "there are lots of opportunities to create!"

You are giving free lessons online, you can continue the good work and can use this free service to build a blog/website. Monetize your site with any available ad models. You can also give special podcasts of different guitar and music tips and lessons.

You can start tutoring students if you know guitar very well. You can also promote your music talent online so that you may get special opportunities or who knows? may be you could even meet your future band members.

As you are offering guitar lessons free online, hold offline special lessons and take payment for them. I think this may help you.

Skills and authority on a field is required first before you could start monetizing it. I'm sure you will do the best. Have the best of success!

Thank you for this article.I have a website named www.funstaff.net .I am earning money from google adsense using it.But i am a beginner in this.I think i can give university tutio fee from my earnings. Now i want to earn money from bloggings. For that what i have to do?How much money I have to spend to make a blog site.
  • Tamal Anwar · 1 year ago
Hello Zubair. Glad that you are earning with adsense and have online earning experience. Blogging is universal and its FREE! All you need to do is to put some effort in it and a lot of hardwork.

You can start a free blog with blogger.com and start building it. You can also use adsense and many different advertisement models to get more money out of it.

But if you want to take blogging seriously and want to become a professional blogger, buy a domain for the blog which will cost you less than $10. If you start a blog with Wordpress.org, you have to buy hosting also.

To learn blogging and the basics, read my previous articles on blogging. Thanks!

I have saw allot of young internet marketers lately. I do wonder though, how do they join affiliate programs? Do they not require you to be 18?

It is really cool how the marketers are very young, when they are in their 20's they will have a bunch of experience and be making big money.
  • Tamal Anwar · 1 year ago
    Thank's for the compliment Tara!

I saw many people who are getting million hits onto their websites and they are not yet 18. Advertisers will likely to do business with them because they have the status, not by looking at their age.

Many affiliate programs now days don't even look at what the site is about and what is the quality of it, they just look at the ranks and status. At the same way, business people look for talent, not at the age.
  • Professional Lab · 1 year ago
I agree with tamal. Advertiser look for the quality, they generally don't care about you are student or not. How many degree certificates you have etc. Professional Blogging is something where actually quality in demand. Good post.

This blog Is very informative , I am really pleased to post my comment on this blog . It helped me with ocean of knowledge so I really belive you will do much better in the future . Good job web master .
  • Tamal Anwar · 1 year ago
Hey Jeff, or should I call you THE SPAMMER? You posted the same comment on this page, http://venturebeat.com/2008/07/13/china-web-use... and I bet you have posted the same one for many of the blogs.

Adding the nicest comment may boost the ego of the webmaster for a while and may click trough to your site, but this is not the way I'm asking people to get more traffic. I'm not deleting your comment, but you should avoid this practice.

    Thanck you for your Effort
  • Tamal Anwar · 1 year ago
I know about two websites. One is TextLinkAds and other is LinkWorth. To get approved in Text link ads, your blog must have at least google page rank 4. They pays minimum $25 via check.

Link Worth is easy to use and they will send you minimum $100 via check. They will take 30% of the payment share of each post.
  • Abdou · 1 year ago
Thank you , but page rank 4 isn't the easy start for me, i look for somthing more easier even if money was low
  • Tamal Anwar · 1 year ago
Page rank 2 or 3 is easy but 4 is really a great deal. It may take years to build it. Take a look at DoshDosh and you might find some paid review sites: http://www.doshdosh.com/a-definitive-list-of-pa...
